Review of Optronics Accessories and Parts A49PB

Speaker: Today we're going to review part number A49PB. This is the Optronics Right Angle Plug to our pigtail for sealed trailer clearance, side marker and backup lights. This is a two-prong, all-weather, molded plastic plug. It provides a power connection for sealed clearance, side marker lights or backup light. It is a two-wired design; it features these color-coated wires, they're six inches long. The red wire is your six-inch lead wire or hot-wire and that's a pigtail or bare wire at the end for making your power connection and the white wire's your ground wire; it has the #10 ring terminal on the end. Basically, this is used to provide power to the light, and I've got an example of a sealed light here; this happens to be a backup light and you can see it has a three-prong design already in it but you can use the two-prong in that because you're only going to use the ground and the hot-lead and basically what you do, you just go ahead and line the plug up with the holes, push it in, and you've got your power connection.

Again, this one is described as a right-angled plug and the reason for that is when your light is mounted, your wires will come out of a right angle. They do offer a two-prong plug that is a straight; the wires will come straight out the back. We do sell that separately on our website and that is part number A45CB. To unplug it, just go like that, but that should do it for the review of part number A49PB. This is the Optronics Right-Angle Plug, two-wire pigtail for the sealed trailer clearance side-marker lights or backup lights. .
