Review of Maxxair RV Vents and Fans MA00-03750

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Maxxair Mini Tray with a Roof Vent. The Maxxair Mini Roof Vent is designed for non-powered bathroom and galley vents. It protects against rain, bugs, and debris whether the vent is open or closed. It features the integrated rain shield. This prevents rain water from entering your RV or trailer, and it eliminates the need to install a separate vent cover. The unit features the angled louvers, which allow odor and stale air to escape.Once installed, it provides a really nice seamless, low profile appearance.

The top of the unit is black in cover. We'll go ahead and flip it over to the portion that will be visible from the inside of your RV or trailer, and that's this area right here. It's a really nice design, very clean look to it. This right here is the bug screen. This keeps insects out, and it's easy to remove for cleaning or for maintenance.

Now, this unit features a manual non-powered design that's easy to use. You have the lever right here that allows you to move it to the closed or open position. Now again, the top of the unit is black in color. This installs into any 14 inch by 14 inch opening. It comes with all the components seen here, so you also get detailed installation instructions, you get all the necessary hardware for your installation. You get the upper portion of the unit, so you get the actual rain cover portion, flange, you get the sleeve and you get the lower unit, which is the actual vent portion.

Then again, all the necessary hardware that you need for the installation is included. Now, it also has around the perimeter of the mounting area it has the indentions, so just little dimples shows you where the installation sports are for all the screws. It does not come with any type of sealant, so keep that in mind, you will need some to seal around the mounting area. That is sold separately. We do offer some options at etrailer.com.Again, this will fit any 14 inch by 14 inch opening. The vent opening diameter, that's basically the bug screen down here, that's 10-1/2 inches.

This unit's designed to fit roofs 1 inch to 4-1/2 inches thick. When it comes to the overall measurements, I measured outer edge to outer edge, it measures 16-1/2 inches by 16-1/2 inches. I also measured from the bottom of the flange to the top of the cover right here, and that measured 4 inches. Once installed, this will sit about 4 inches above the roof. That's going to do it for today's look at the Maxxair Mini Trailer Roof Vent.

The louvered side of the vent is meant to face rearward with the streamlined side pointing in the direction of travel. 43566
