Review of MaxxTow Off Road Lights MT70882

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the MaxxTow LED Offroad Lights. These offroad LED lights provide bright, focused light. It's going to feature a spot beam design that's great for seeing at a distance. It's going to feature superior light output. We're going to have 6 LEDs in each light and both lights are included. They're going to use these premium LEDs that are designed to last a long time.

They're going to burn bright, and they're very efficient. It's also going to have the durable, weather resistant construction. This is a black powder coated anodized aluminum housing that's lightweight and rugged. The mounting brackets are all coated as well to resist rust and corrosion. It's going to feature a durable polycarbonate glass lens that's very strong and scratch resistant.

It's also going to have the channeled fins on the housing that really helps heat disperse quickly. It's an easy installation. It's going to come with the included hardware, and it's going to have the universal single bolt pedestal style brackets that provide a sturdy mounting base. It's going to let you adjust the angle of each light. You can see that design there, just loose up the hardware and you can adjust the angle of each light. Each light's going to have a two wire design, so you're going to have your black wire and red wire; red is for power, black is for ground. The wiring is going to extend from the actual light by about 12 inches. When it comes to the total LEDs, we're looking at 12.

That's 6 per light or 6 diodes per light. It's going to be a total wattage of 36 watts, that's 18 watts per light, 3 watts per LED. I want to take some time to go over some very basic measurements with you. Each one's going to measure identical. The lens itself, measures 2 and 5/8ths of an inch by an inch and 3/4s. If you take a measurement of the overall width, measuring from edge to edge.

That's going to give us a measurement of about 3 and 13/16ths of an inch to 3 and 7/8ths, right in that area. The height of just the light, not including the bracket, that's going to be about 3 inches. Then the height with it mounted on the bracket and with it in this orientation, that's going to be about 4 and 1/4 to 4 and 3/8ths. The units going to have a depth of only about 2 and 1/2 inches. The mounting base is a rectangular design that's going to measure an inch and 1/4 by 1 and 3/8ths. The mounting bolt that it comes with has a diameter of 1/4 of an inch and has a length of 15/16ths of an inch from the bottom of the bolt head to the end of the threads. What I want to do now, is go ahead and hook the units up to power. Then we can turn them on and you can get a good idea of what they look like. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights, so you can see them in a lower light setting. Again your red wires are your power wires; your black wires are going to be your ground wires. We'll go ahead and turn off our overhead lights. You can see here that they send out a nice strong signal. These are very bright lights. Again they're going to feature the spot beams that not only provide plenty of light output, but they're great for seeing at a distance. Again each light is going to contain a total of 6 LEDs and both units are included. That's going to do it for today's look at the MaxxTow LED Offroad Lights.
