Today were going to take a quick look at the MaxxTow pintle hook with two and five-sixteenth ball, part number MT70240. This pintle hook combo is set up in a black powder coat finish to keep it looking nice for year. It features a two and five-sixteenth ball that comes premounted to the pintle hook. Using the ball, youll have a 12,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity. The pintle hook capacity is 16,000 pound. Included are four bolts, lock washers and nuts for securing the pintle to a pintle mount.
On the back here youll see the bolt holes on the rear of the pintle. From the center of the bolt to the center of the hole vertically we get one and three quarters, and across we get three and three-eighths inches wide. Well real quick show you how the pintle hook works. Well remove this pin, slide it out of the way, and as we lift this we can open our jaw. Close it down into place, and the latch will close and lock and youll resecure it with the pin.
