Review of Kodiak Accessories and Parts BH-3MFS-7

Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak 7-foot hydraulic brake hose with the 3/16 of an inch male fittings with stainless steel flares. Now, this brake line will connect your hydraulic brake actuator to your trailer brakes when used with additional lines, tees, and fittings which we do sell separately on our website. They're usually listed on this product page as a related product. This is a nice flexible design so it makes the hose easier to install than a rigid steel brake line. The flares on it, you can see they're stainless steel flares. They would help resist corrosion and they're a lot stronger than brass so they help reduce splitting. They are ideal for boat trailers.

If you'll notice the brass male swivel flare nut fittings on both ends. These swivels will allow the flare fittings to turn without the hose twisting and if you notice, they'll have deep threads on them to improve the connection and help prevent any leaks. Also you'll notice as you go to tighten it down, when you push it that way it will give you this open area on the flare fittings that will let you use a line wrench for better grip so it will help minimize the risk of stripping the threads. Also on the end of the rubber hose if you notice, they use a double crimp brass farrow to securely clamp the fittings to the hose. This rubber hose does meet the DOT, which is Department of Transportation, and the SAE standards. A few specs on this.

The hose length overall is 7 feet. When you add the fittings it's about 7 foot 3 inches. The hose inner diameter is 1/8 of an inch. The fitting size is 3/16 of an inch and the thread size is 3/8 of an inch by 24. That should do it for the review on the Kodiak 7-foot hydraulic brake hose with the 3/16 of an inch male fittings and the stainless steel flares..
