Review of Knockout Hitch Covers KD714H

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number KD714H. This is the Retired Army 2-inch trailer hitch receiver cover. The hitch cover is going to give your hitch a nice, clean, finished look and they're going to let you represent whatever it is that you're passionate about. They also do a good job at keeping dirt and grime out of the hitch, which is going to help prevent rust and corrosion to the hitch. Now this is going to feature the United States Army logo, and then here at the bottom it has the message "Retired" located here at the curved bottom. This hitch cover is made from a high-quality automotive-grade ABS plastic. It is built and constructed from recycled material.

Nice, one piece design. Thick hitch plug, you can't even really bend it in, so it's going to last a long time. Again, it's made from that tough ABS plastic construction. Here over the image, we're going to have the weather-resistant polyurethane gel coating. That's going to add a lot of protection.

You don't have to worry about fading, yellowing, cracking, or pealing. It's going to stand up well against the elements, and again, it's going to provide a nice, long life. Now this does come with a hitch clip. Now, if you want a hitch lock, that is sold separately. You can find those here on our website. The hitch clip simply just goes in back here.

I like to insert it at an angle and then just rotate it into the pinholes just like that, so when we put it in our hitch, these will go in, to slide it into the hitch, then they're going to slide back out to engage the pinholes in the hitch. The product is made right here in the USA. Again, it is designed for 2-inch by 2-inch trailer hitch receivers. It's going to give us an overall width measurement of about 5-inches and an overall height measurement of about 3-1/2 inches. Let's go ahead and show you how it installs in the hitch. Really simple installation.

All you have to do is take it, slide it into the opening, push it in, until that hitch clip engages the pinholes. That's going to do it for today's look at part number KD714H.
