Jif Marine Dock Accessories - C-Shape Dock Edging - JIF96VR Review

Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And we're going to be taking a quick look at the JIF C Shaped Dock Edging. This is going to give you a nice border to put around your dock to make sure that you don't have any issues with causing damage to your boats. It can be used on marinas or even your personal docking areas as long as they are only in moderate use. This material is pretty standard for any area that has even tides.

So maybe areas that are on a lake or a quieter area. It is going to be that C channel, as you can can tell this is pretty flexible, so you can get it to go around a not completely straight edge, although it does like to wiggle off of that shape and that's going to be that C shape there. It's a little bit hard for you to see. This is a pretty long piece. It's 10 feet long. So it's a little bit big for my studio, but just want to give you an idea of the texture and the shape there.

So that's going to be our a C shape there, it almost looks like the little cents sign. As far as the overall dimensions, besides that length, 10 feet or 120 inches, the width of this strip measures about three and three quarter inches. And then it's about seven eighths of an inch tall. If we go from where it mounts to the top here. Plenty of room on either side to attach any hardware, it does not come with any, but some self tapping screws or nuts and bolts, anything that you want to use depending on the material that you're going into should be just fine.

Again, pretty flexible material, it should be good for many years of use.Let's try and get that twisted back around, set it on my table here. So I would say this is maybe not the best material to go around a corner, it doesn't really seem to like to have to do anything but go straight, so that is one thing. We do have some products that will allow you to have a nice corner piece. So if you want to go around that edge, that'd probably be the easiest way to do it. Or you can always just cut this guy to length and then angle out your cuts to match at those corners.

But that's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the JIF Edging Material. I hope this has been helpful deciding if this is the right piece for you. That's always our goal here at etrailer.com is to get you the right thing the first time. So I hope this video helped. I'm Ellen here at etrailer. Thanks for watching.
