Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Hopkins custom tail light wiring kit for towed vehicles. This product works with different GM vehicles so to ensure that it is a fit for your vehicle you use the vehicle fit guide, which is located at etrailer.com. Now once installed this unit lets you wire your vehicle to accept your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights for flat towing applications. It wires the towed vehicle as a combined system so that the brake and turn signals travel along the same wire. It provides a four way flat plug at the front of the towed vehicle to easily connect to the motor home. Now this is designed to plug in quickly and easily.

You don't have to worry about splicing or cutting any wires. The connection points are located behind your vehicles taillights. These right here, these are T connectors. These are custom fit for your vehicle and they match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle. They plug in, they snap lock together providing that nice tight secure fit. The wiring runs through this convertor box here.

This is a weather proof box that keeps the built in diodes fully protected. Also, this system will not interfere with the electrical system when the towed vehicle is not hooked up to the RV, so you don't have worry about that.Again, it is custom designed to work with your vehicle. It includes everything laid out here on the table. You get the wiring harness. You get the mounting brackets to secure the four way flat at the front of the towed vehicle.

You get the installation hardware. These screws are to mount the bracket. This one's to make a ground connection, which is your white wire, which has a pre attached ring terminal to it. You got zip ties to secure any slack or excess in the wiring. Then you have terminal grease that can be applied to the connection points to prevent corrosion to the connection points. Now and extension loop for connecting the towed vehicle to the RV is sold separately and available at etrailer.com.

Also, a brake light relay may be required if used with a supplemental braking system. That part's available and sold separately at etrailer.com with part number RM-88400. That's going to do for today's look at the Hopkins Custom Tail Light wiring kit for towed vehicles.
