Review of HWT Tires and Wheels TTWAL0667655S

Today, we're going to review part number TTWAL0667655S. This is the HWT 16 inch by 7 inch aluminum Hi-Spec Series 06 Trailer Wheel, with the 6 on 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern and silver in color. Now, this is an aluminum wheel, which is very durable, very light weight, and rust proof. The design is a Hi-Spec Series 06 design in silver, which is very unique and appealing. The nice thing if you'll notice the front of the wheels, the front of the spokes, and the front of the edge of the spoke is all a machine polish finish to give a nice shine to it, and then the accent between the spokes is a silver painted. What's nice is the whole front and back of the wheel, they do clear coat for extra protection. Now, this wheel.

Does use the ICF technology, which is improved clamp force, and this will help keep your wheel securely in place, so there's no need to retorque after your initial installation. The center cap as you can see is all included. This is a high quality wheel, meets the Department of Transportation specifications. Just to show you, I'm going to take the center cap off to show you where the lugs are. Now, the center cap is held on by this large Phillip screw, so once we unscrew that, you'll be able to see where the lug holes are and then I'll show you how the center cap actually attaches to the wheel itself.

We'll go ahead and get this screwed all the way out. Oops. This one hold it into place. Basically, there you'll see where the lugs are. Now, basically on the center cap, there's right where the lug hole or the hole is for the Phillip screw, 180 degrees across from that, you can see there's a tab on this lip here of the center cap. On the wheel itself when you go across, there's a little indentation, so when you install this cap, you put that tab right in there and then push down and put your screw in, and that'll help keep that ...

once you tighten it down, it keeps that cap from rotating or moving around or from anybody taking it off. Now, a few specs on this wheel, the rim dimensions is 16 inches in diameter, and that's measured inside to inside, and the width is 7 inches wide, same way. When I say inside to inside, what I'm mentioning is when a tire is mounted on this wheel, the tire beads will seat right in here and that's where you're going to take your measurements from. To do a diameter on this wheel, you don't want to do outside to outside. You're going to measure bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside, and that'll show you it's 16 inches. Then the width, again is bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside, and it's right at 7 inches, so 16 inches by 7 inch. Now, the bolt pattern on this wheel you can see is a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

You can see it's 6 lugs, and if you want to measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case 6, all you have to do is pick one of the lug holes and measure from the center of that lug hole directly across the hole right across from it, center to center. If we do this one to this one, put the tape on it, center to center, you can see it's right at 5-1/2 inches, so 6 lugs, 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern. This does use a wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch by 20. The pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, this goes over the hub on your trailer, put a ruler on that, and we'll get you, pilot hole diameter is going to be right at 4-1/2 inches for the pilot hole diameter. The weight capacity on this wheel is 3200 lbs. Again, I'm just going to show you, put the cap on, put the tab in there, line the hole up, put the Phillip screw back in there, get it started, and we'll go ahead and tighten this down. Again, when you tighten this down, because that center cap is plastic is plastic, you don't want to over-tighten it and cause any damage. You just want to snug it down where it'll hold the cap into place . and there we go. You can see it's snug up pretty good. The cap's not going anywhere and you're all ready to go. That should do it for the review on part number TTWAL0667655S. This is the HWT 16 inch by 7 inch aluminum Hi-Spec Series 06 Trailer Wheel, 6 on 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern and silver in color. .
