Gen-Y Hitch - Weight Distribution - 325-GH-0352 Review

Today, we'll be taking a quick look at the weight distribution shank for gen-Y hitch adjustable ball mounts. This is going to be a system that slides into your gen-Y stacked receivers. So, I have one of these here off to the side. It's just gonna match up with two of the receivers there. Slide that into place and then, put your pins and clips through to secure it. This works with the normal kind of of traditional style that I have here, that's just the stacked receiver or the torsion flex style as well. Those are sold separately.

We have a lot of different configurations available here at etrailer.com with different drops and amounts of receivers, so definitely check those out. And then, this will work with any of your head assemblies for your weight distribution center. Again, those are sold separately and we have a lot of options here at etrailer.com.Now, this just slides into the head that I just showed you. We can adjust it to the right height. We'll have five different adjustments for the height for our head assembly.

Each of those holes is an inch and a quarter apart. And then, the diameter on those holes is three quarters of an inch. It's made of a durable, solid steel construction, so it's very well-built, very sturdy. I really like this powder coat because it actually seems to be pretty impervious. It's a very nice, solid, thick powder coat.

No rusting or corrosion as far as I can see and it just looks really nice. It has that kind of two-tone hammer effect. So it's kind of silver and black and just looks really nice. This is a zinc primer with that epoxy powder coat, it's a sort of staple for the gen-Y line of products. As far as the measurements go, overall, it stands about eight and a half inches tall. The distance from the center of our adjustment holes to the center of the hitch pin hole is about four and a half inches.

The shank width is two inches, so it'll fit in those two inch by two inch receivers for gen-Y hitches or gen-Y ball mounts. And then, the maximum gross trailer weight with this is 16000 pounds and the maximum tongue weight capacity is 1700 pounds or 1700 pounds. It does come with the two pins and clips to get this attached to our gen-Y ball mount and this product is made in the USA. And that's gonna do it for our look at the weight distribution shank for gen-Y hitch adjustable ball mounts.
