Fulton Trailer Jack - 1,500 lbs Marine Trailer Jack - F27CR Review

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack. This jack is going to lift your boat or recreational trailer up 12 inches. It's gonna support it while you have your boat stored, whether that's at the lakeside or at home, and then it will easily lower your boat again whenever you need to. This does have a lifting capacity of 1,500 pounds, so it should do a good job for most of boat trailers and that sort of thing. You can see we do have the sidewind designed here, so it's gonna be very easy to access our handle to raise and lower our jack.

It does have a convenient spring loaded, 1/2-inch diameter plunger pin that's going to allow you to pull on that and turn your jack so that you can easily get it swung up into a stowed position as you're traveling. And then when you arrive, you pull that out and lower your jack back down into position to raise and lower your boat or trailer. This is going to have a bolt-thru mount that's going to attach to your three-inch by three-inch, three-inch by four-inch, or three-inch by five-inch trailer frame. This is gonna help provide minimum deflection and maximum support for your jack and in your trailer. This is a 3D-formed heavy gauge steel stamping that is also going to provide proprietary bushing material to make sure that you are going to have a nice secure connection here.

Now, from the top of our mounting bracket to the top of our jack, we're going to have a clearance of about 12-1/2 inches. That's gonna be quite a bit. You're gonna probably need to be careful when you're lowering your tailgate if you're using a truck or something like that. Make sure that you're not gonna damage your tailgate. When we have our jack fully retracted like it is now from the top of our bracket to the bottom of our wheels, it's about 12-3/4 of an inch.

When we have it fully extended, it's going to go up 12 inches, so it's, again, gonna be about 24-3/4 of an inch from the top of our bracket down. You can see we do have these six-inch diameter thermoplastic dual wheels. Having two wheels here is going to give us a wider surface area. So even if we're on soft ground, we're not gonna have to worry about sinking in as much. It's gonna be, give us a lot of stability as we're moving our trailer around.

Our whole construction here is a heavy gauge steel, so it's gonna be very durable. It's gonna last well for us. Our outer tube is a two, sorry, 2 1/4 inch diameter outer tube. You can see it's got this black powder coat on it that's gonna help resist rust and corrosion, and stay nice. Our inner tube is a two-inch diameter tube. Again, same heavy-duty steel construction, so it will last, do a good job for you there. Overall, this is gonna be a really nice jack. I really like the dual-wheel design. I like that it's going to pivot, so as we're moving our jack around our driveway or area like that, we'll have a lot of control as to how we can maneuver our boat around. All the mounting hardware is going to be included for you. You got a couple long bolts with nuts and the bracket that will go on the other side of your trailer frame so that you can get those mounted in place and be ready to go. So, overall, a really nice option for you to make sure that you're gonna be able to raise and lower your boat trailer or other trailer if you choose to use it for another application.
