Fastway Ball Mounts - Fixed Ball Mount - DTBM4600 Review

Today we're gonna take a look at the Fastway Flash solid aluminum ball mount with a six inch drop or a five inch rise and a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a nice solid one-piece ball mount, has the built in drop or rise, so lets you match the ball height of your vehicle with the tongue height of your trailer. This ball mount is machined from a nice, solid piece of aircraft grade billet aluminum. This solid aluminum produces a nice light weight, strong ball mount, doesn't have any welds on it which can cause any weak points that might break and. If you notice, has a nice polished finish to it to create a high quality appearance. Now, the hitch ball would have to be purchased separately. We do sell those separately on our website.

And just give you a few dimensions of the hitch ball holes so you can get the right hitch ball. The diameter of the hole is one inch and the thickness of the ball platform is one inch also. Also the hitch pinning clip is not included. You would have to supply that. We do sell those separately on our website, or you can use the one you already have if it has a diameter, this diameter hole is 5/8 inch diameter.

So if you have a hitch pinning clip that's a 5/8 inch diameter, it'll work on this. Now, we do also sell a hitch lock if you want to secure this so nobody takes it, and again they're sold separately, listed on this product page as a related product. This part is made in the USA. Again, it's designed to fit two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver openings. Towing capacity is 10,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is 1,000 pounds.

The drop, which would be that position, it's measured from the top of the ball platform to the top of the shank. It's going to be six inch drop. The rise would be if you flipped it over. And again, top of the ball platform, top of the shank, it's going to be right at five inches. And the last measurement I want to give you is from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole.

That distance center to center, it's going to be right at 8 3/4 inches. But that should do it for the review on the Fastway Flash solid aluminum ball mount with a six inch drop, five inch rise, and a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity.
