Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Dexter Trailer Idler Hub with the 5 on 4.5-inch bolt pattern for 2200 pound axles.Now the application for this hub is to fit the 2200 pound trailer axles that have the BTR spindles. This hub is a sturdy iron construction, and it is designed to fit Idler axles. Now the bearing races, if you can see are already pre-installed, they are included, have the inner bearing race right here, and then the outer bearing race right here. The lug holes, if you noticed, they are tapped for half-inch diameter wheel bolts.
Now the bearings that are going to be used on this, they are sold separately. They use both the same part number inner and outer bearing, and that's part number L44649. And then the grease seal that goes on the back here, again that's sold separately and it's part number 10-9.A few specs on this. The hub flange diameter, which is measured from this side all the way to this side, is six and a half inches so that means this will work with wheel sizes, 13 inch to 15 inch size. The bolt pattern, again we mentioned is a 5 on 4.5-inch bolt pattern, bolt hole diameter, half an inch, and the weight capacity on this one Idler hub is 1100 pounds so when this is used with one on the other side of the axle, it'll meet your 2200 pound axle rating.But that should do it for the review on the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub with the 5 on 4.5-inch bolt pattern for 2200 pound axles..
