Review of Custer Tow Bar Wiring EZT20B

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number EZT20B. This is the E-Z Mount Tow Light Kit from Custer Tow Bar Wiring. It's going to be an convenient solution for all your towing needs. This unit is going to be very easy to hook up and it's very easy to remove as well. Once fully connected it is going to provide your stop, turn and tail light functions. This is an incandescent light system. It is going to be great for RVs, boats, cars, trucks, SUVs, farm equipment, trailers and really any other towing application.

Here on the rear of the light you are going to notice it has these hinged flaps. It is going to allow for easy hook-up so you can put that into the trunk of your vehicle that is being towed, close the lid over top of it and it's got this nice little hook on it that going to allow it to grip. That way it doesn't come out from the mount application. If we take a measurement real quick from the hook that is going to sit inside the hook lip to the ninety degree bend or the angle corner right here, that measurement is going to measure 3 3/4 of an inch. That is going to allow you to go out to your vehicle and see if this is going to fit and still be able to hang the light at a level position for easy visibility. Now, the width of that flap, that is also going to measure 3 3/4 of an inch. The flap here is made of a durable non-scratch plastic so you don't have to worry about it damaging or scratching the finish on your vehicle.

Now, this is going to come with a four way flat connector. It is going to give you twenty feet of cord to make the connection. It is also going to come with an additional four hole female connector which is this one right here, in case you need to wire this into the vehicle that is doing the towing. That is basically for if you don't already have a four way flat on your vehicle that is going to be towing whatever vehicle you have lights connected to. The span that we have between the lights, you can see the cord here that is all bundled up, once that is all the way done the lights are going to have the span of sixty inches. What I am want to do now is go ahead and connect it to our external power source.

That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights. That way you can see it in a low light condition. We'll just go ahead and make all of our connections here. Turn off our lights. You can see that they send out a really nice consistent signal.

Again, this is an incandescent bulb or light system. When we apply our turn signals you can see how it illuminates, sends out a good indicator and then for the brake lights as well. They illuminate and then they just stay on. The diameter of the light, that is going to give us a measurement of about 3 3/4 of an inch. You can see here that it has the screws on it so these lenses can be replaced. Department of Transportation compliant. I believe that is going to do it for part number EZT20B. This is The Easy Mount Tow Bar Kit from Custer Tow Bar Wiring. .

This wiring kit was discontinued earlier this year but I am attaching a link to al of the light kits that we offer from Custer if you really like their products. I can also offer a different recommendation if you can let me know the year/make/model of the vehicle you are looking to flat tow.
