CUB Blind Spot Detection - Chevrolet Trucks - CU54TR Review

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at Today, we're gonna take a look at the blind spot monitoring driver's side and passenger side tail lights for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks. Now, this kit is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2014 to 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks. And on a custom-fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application.

Now, this kit will let you upgrade your truck's tail lights with the integrated blind spot detection to be able to safely change lanes and even back up without causing an accident. These truck tail lights right here with the blind spot detection sensors, they will replace your factory tail lights for increased safety while you're driving. Now, one thing I do wanna mention is this kit is not compatible with models that have the factory LED tail lights. And this kit will include everything shown here on the table. Just wanna zoom in.

Comes with the left and right tail lights with the blind spot sensors. Comes with the control unit right here. Comes with both the left and right warning indicators. Comes with a buzzer. Comes with the power button.

Comes with the wiring harnesses. Also, right here, this harness is for your OBD-II cable. Plugs into your OBD-II system. Even comes with a nice hole drill bit that they include to be able to drill the right size hole for attaching all these items here. And it even comes with an operations and instructions manual.

Now, the integrated radar sensors that are in the tail lights, these will prevent accidents when you're changing lanes or backing up. The blind spot detection will track the vehicles entering your blind spots. And the lane change alert warns of any vehicles that are approaching when you activate your turn signal. The blind spot detection and that lane change alert will monitor adjacent lanes for up to 75 feet, and they automatically activate when the vehicle exceeds 15 miles an hour. Now, this also offers a rear cross traffic alert, which will warn any vehicles or pedestrians while you're backing up. Now, on the inside of your vehicle, the LED indicators. Let me just set this tail light down. But these two LED indicators, a right and a left one, these will light up. And then the buzzer right here, this will sound an alarm when anything enters your blind spots to notify you inside the cab. The OBD-II connector right here that you plug in, this will work with your vehicle's diagnostic system to ensure accurate readings. All these parts are a nice, durable construction to resist the elements. They do meet the IP67 rating to protect against dust and water submersion in up to three feet for 30 minutes. This does also offer the ISO 17387 Type III blind spot detection system standard compliant. And it is a plug and play installation. Using your existing tail lamp harnesses, these just plug in and install. Give you a factory appearance. We mentioned earlier, the LED indicators here, the buzzer, these will install on your interior A-pillars and drilling is required. They give you the hole drill bit we mentioned. The power button right here, this can be installed on either your center dashboard or the, your A-pillar also. And the control unit, this black box right here, this can be stored under your dashboard, your seat, or even inside your console. And the wiring on the harnesses here, they all use automotive-grade connectors and wiring. Few specs on this kit, the operating temperature is minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit, and the radar frequency on the sensors is 24 gigahertz. But that should do it for the review on this blind spot monitoring driver's side and passenger side tail lights for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks..
