Review of BoatBuckle Tie Down Straps IMF12072

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Boat Buckle Quick Lock Gun Weld 00:04 tie down strap. This tie down strap lets you firmly secure your boat to your trailer. The unit does feature stainless steel construction when it comes to the S-hooks, as well as the actual buckle. That's going to provide maximum corrosion resistance. So it's very strong and durable. It's corrosion resistant, which makes it great for salt water applications, and it's just an overall nice design.

It's very easy to use. It looks good. Now when it comes to the quick lock over-center buckle, this is easy to use as well, and it holds your strap tight with a weave through design. Now with these types of straps you're going to notice a couple different designs. So usually you have your ratcheting mechanism, or your standard cam buckle. The quick lock is a little bit different.

Again the over-center buckle, it's easy to use. Opens and closes with just one hand, and it's designed to maintain tension on your strap for a better hold. Especially when compared to standard cam buckles. So when you're ready to use this, when you're ready to secure your boat you'll take the hooks and you'll fasten the hooks securely to the frame of your trailer. Then with the fastener open you'll take the free end of the strap and you'll pull on it until the strap is tight over the boat. Then you simply close the fastener or the buckle to the locked position, and it has this break over point in it, which you can feel it and you can hear it kind of snap.

That means that it's secure.Once you have that done you can secure any of your excess strap or tie it off to the frame of the trailer. Then when you're ready to release, or release the tension and take the strap off all you have to do is pull up on the free end of the strap, and it'll take the buckle and it'll open it up. Then that's going to loosen everything so you can release the tension, and remove the strap, and unload your boat. The strap itself is made from a strong polyester webbing. Very similar to seat belt material. So it's very strong and durable.

It's flexible and it's weather resistant. This strap is black in color. It measures 2" wide. It's available in 16' and 20' lengths. For the 16' strap you can find that at etrailer.com with part number IMF12071. For the 20' strap, IMF12072. Safe working load limit is 333 pounds. Maximum load or break strength is 1,000 pounds, and just always keep in mind that tie down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. That's going to do it for today's look at the Boat Buckle Quick Lock Gun Weld Tie Down Strap.
