Review of Baron and Baron Hitch Covers HDHC290

Today we're going to take a look at the Harley-Davidson Bar and Shield Logo trailer hitch cover. This is designed to fit 2 inch hitches and has a nice diamond plate finish to it. This is an officially licensed Harley-Davidson hitch cover. Slides into your 2 inch hitch receiver opening to keep out any dirt, prevent corrosion. On the front here you can see it has a nice Harley-Davidson Bar and Shield emblem on a diamond plate background with a silver and black finish. Now, the face plate itself is a chrome plated, weather resistant, zinc face plate that adds style to your vehicle.

The base that slides into your hitch receiver is a stainless steel base that will resist rust and corrosion. It does come with 3 foam gaskets that are used to slide onto that base to help seal it when you put it into your hitch receiver opening, to help seal it, to keep any dirt or corrosion from getting in there. Also, comes with the locking stainless steel bolt that secures the hitch cover to your hitch and these 2 keys that are used to tighten the locking bolt down. Again, the application on this is designed to fit 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. Total weight on it is about 2 pounds. Just to show you, pick whatever foam gasket you need to seal it for your application and just slide that on to your shank base here.

Then just slide that all the way to the front. Now when you slide this into your hitch receiver, that'll help seal it, and then you just take your locking bolt here. Unscrew the bolt out of it. Then you'll just put this into your hitch receiver, slide this through the hole in the hitch receiver, slide it through the hitch cover to the other side. Once you get to the other side just go ahead and put the bolt back in and then spin it down.

When you go to tighten it, you have this special locking handle. It has the triangle shape to it. Put that in one side and then you put the one in the other side. Then just go ahead and tighten that down. Once you tighten it down, it'll keep anybody from removing the bolt and stealing your hitch cover. That should do it for the review on the Harley-Davidson Bar and Shield Logo trailer hitch cover for 2 inch hitches, with a diamond plate finish..
