Ellen: Hey, everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a quick look at the Deluxe Compartment Door Key Lock. This is going to replace or upgrade your existing lock, maybe replace a damaged or worn-out lock on your RV compartment door so you can get everything nice and locked up and secured again. It comes with the flat blade and also an offset blade. So I have it just on here just so you guys can get an idea of what it looks like. That offset, of course, you can switch it from one side to the other so if you need it to go out like I have it or more in works either way or again, you can use the flat blade. Attaches just the same way as that little square cutout to match over the square bump out. This is going to be a direct replacement for any 1-1/8" diameter core lock.
Comes with the nut, a grommet or rubber washer so it's going to be a nice watertight seal or prevent any kind of dirt and debris from getting in there and causing any issues. Also, comes with the two keys to unlock that. So you can see that turns our cylinder there to lock or unlock. It does have a chrome-plated zinc coating or chrome-plated zinc construction so it's going to be resistant to any kind of corrosion or rust and should last for a long time for you.Give you a measurement on the flat blade just to show how far out that goes from the attachment point here. So whenever you tighten that down you want to make sure that that star washer gets compressed a little bit, that's what's going to hold it in place. So going from the end of that blade to the center where it attaches is about an inch and a half long.
Overall, it's about a inch and three quarters long from the bottom of the head of that bolt or the lock cylinder, where it comes out, it's just going to be about an inch and a quarter that goes back in there. It is covered by a lifetime warranty from JR Products and that's pretty much all there is to it for our Deluxe Compartment Door Key Lock. There are other configurations available here at etrailer.com if you want something that's a little bit different, a little different size diameter or length so definitely check those out if this isn't the right one for you. I hope this video has been helpful in figuring out if this is the right one for your application. Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.

Standard key lock replaces 1 worn or damaged lock on your RV compartment door. Direct replacement for 1-1/8" diameter core lock. Chrome-plated zinc lock is universal and includes both flat and offset blades.Well for the most part they are ok. I had to completely disassemble both locks 2 times to get them to work, after having to install them twice. But they now lock. If i didnt need the locks i would've returned them but since i already threw the boxes away i guess ill keep them. Thanks for your concern. I will be returning the locks to storage box. I orderd the wrong size.
While they do the job, a person with a key from a different camper lock was able to open this lock. NOT SECURE enough for the money it is suppose to protect.
Just what I ordered and the delivery happened sooner than I expected. Kudos!
Worked perfect for the application
