Is the Rhino Rack T-Load Assist and Support Bar Tall Enough to be Used on a 2008 Honda CRV
Question:
I have a 2008 Honda CRV with Yakima racks for my kayaks. The crossbar spread is 38, which worked okay with bow and stern tie-downs until I bought a 20foot surfski 28 lb and a 22 foot tandem 77 lb. Will the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch extend high enough to basically provide a new rear crossbar crossbar for my longer boats? Also, can I remove the Rhino-Rack load stops and use my Yakima saddles to carry both boats at the same time? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
Yes, the adjustable height range of the Rhino-Rack T-Load # RTL002 is 42-64 inches so it should have more than enough height to allow you to transport your kayaks and boards level.
The load stops can be removed from the crossbar as well. As long as your Yakima Kayak carrier saddles are designed to work on aero bars they would also work on the Rhino Rack cross bar.
