Recommended Bike Rack For Use on Pop-Up Camper
Question:
I have a 3 in tall by 1.5 deep channel bumper on my pop up trailer and looking to install a bumper hitch for a bike rack. What is the best bumper rack for this? Thanks.

The bolt-on trailer hitch receivers for use on the bumpers of RVs and trailers, such as the Ultra-Fab # UF35-946402, require that the bumper be continuously welded across its entire length and that it be a 4 x 4-inch size. Since this will not work with you application I suggest a towing rack that slips over your ball mount. This will place your rack in front of the trailer rather than behind it.
The link provided will show you all such towing-type bike racks which are offered in 2, 3 and 4-bike capacities and in both hanging and platform styles. A great choice is the 2-bike Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount Item # Y36FR. Your tow vehicle must have a 2-inch hitch to use a towing rack.
