The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack # SR1002 will mount to the naked roof of your 2010 Honda Civic such that the crossbar spread (measured from the center of one bar to the center of the other) is 25-inches.

This rack uses square crossbars that offer broad compatibility with a wide range of roof-top accessories, including cargo boxes, bike racks, kayak carriers, etc.

You will want to keep the 25-inch crossbar spread in mind as you consider cargo boxes since they will indicate a minimum crossbar spread requirement. For instance, the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 # Y07192 requires at least a 24-inch spread.

The link provided will let you see all cargo boxes that fit square crossbars like those in the SportRack # SR1002.

I suggest you review your Civic owner's manual for any guidance/limitations regarding rooftop weight capacity. You'll want to be sure that the combined weight of your cargo carrier and loaded cargo does not exceed the vehicle's capacity.

You might want to consider a tire step such as # HE4040. This pre-assembled item slips over a tire to give you better access to your rooftop cargo for easier loading and unloading, and it folds
up for storage in the vehicle.
