Question:

If the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of the camper PLUS the weight of anything stowed in the cargo area of your Liberty behind the rear axle weighs less than its 400 lb maximum capacity, the Reese Steadi-Flex # 66557 you referred to would work very well.

If you find that the weight of the gear in the Liberty puts the tongue weight close to or above 400 lbs, I'd recommend a higher rated system like the Reese Steadi-Flex, part # RP66558 which is rated for trailer tongue weights ranging from 400-600 lbs. Ideally, you want the tongue weight plus the weight of the gear in the cargo area of the tow vehicle to fall pretty near the middle of the effective range of the system you choose. I believe the Reese Steadi-Flex system would be a better choice for you.

Both systems include the weight distributing shank, but the trailer ball is sold separately. You'll need a ball with a 1 inch diameter shank, like part # 63845 for a 2 inch ball or part # 63847 for a 2-5/16 inch.

I have linked to some articles about weight distribution that you might find helpful.
