For your 2010 Lincoln MKX I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C13067. This is a Class lll hitch and has a 2 inch receiver opening. I have included a link to an installation video for this hitch you can check out. A strap like part # 18050 is required when using this hitch.
If you're looking for a hitch that doesn't require the support strap then I recommend the Draw-Tite, part # 75992. I also like this hitch because the cross tube is completely hidden behind the vehicle's bumper once it's installed. I've linked an installation video for you to take a look at as well.
