Availability of Rust-Proof Electric Trailer Brake Assemblies for Use in Sea Water

Question:

hi Why does not Dexter or Titan make electrical brake assembly that does not rust? Titan makes for hydraulic brakes and Dexter does not at all? Is it possible to get a 7K 12x2 for electrical brakes but with Titan parts?

Generally electric trailer brakes are not ideal for use in or near water. Boat trailers generally use either drum or disk hydraulic braking systems to avoid mixing water and electricity, which generally do not like each other. The best brakes for salt water environments are stainless steel disc brakes, such as # K2R35S from Kodiak.

It would not be a good idea to mix brake components from different manufacturers since these parts would not have been tested together.
