Offset Trailer Wheel Availability

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/06/2024

Question:

I have a 1970 Jaco pop up camper I have made into a utility trailer. Original tires and wheels 18.5x8.5x8. These rims appear to have a 1 1/2 inch offset. 2 inch on the inside and 3 1/2 on the outside. The trailer has torsion suspension. I want to upgrade to 20.5x8x10 tire and hole rims. I don’t believe your rims without the offset will clear the torsion arms. I have 4 1/2 inches from outside off bearing hub to the torsion arm. Do you have any alternatives for me. Thank You Bill

I wish we could help but we only have zero offset wheels at this time. Older trailers like what you have generally have unique setups that just aren't available anymore.

Hey Bill, were you able to find wheels with the offset needed for your trailer’s torsion suspension? Knowing what worked could help others with older trailer setups like yours.
