Question:
I have a 1995 Champ Unilift 538 that has an AL-KO axle. The wheel bearings on each side have slack and need to be replaced. How do I determine what size/series axle I have?

John, for your 1995 Champ Unlift trailer you can do a few things to determine what axle you have. If there's a tag still there then that's going to be your quickest and easiest way. If the tag is not there, then you can measure the diameter of your axle, and that will also tell you what size axle you have.
You could also take those bearings off and let me know what the part number is (should be stamped on the bearings itself) and I can take a look to see if we have any replacements.

Haven't had a chance to pull the bearings yet. Noticed on this axle, one end is plugged, and the other is not. Should that end be left open, or do you sell a plug to fit it? images: https://snipboard.io/FXMWCg.jpg https://snipboard.io/ZybmkG.jpg
