camper trailer LED lights work for running lights but turn signal and brake lights do not work? do LED lights need to be replaced or is it something else?

Hey Mark,
You'll want to grab yourself a probe tester # PTW2993 or multimeter # PT89ZR and go to your tow vehicle's trailer connector. You'll test the post/pin to see if the signal is coming through. If not you'll want to check your fuses as they might just be blown. Turn and brake signals are paired together on the same fuse and wire so you're looking for your trailer left turn/stop and trailer right turn/stop fuses.
From there you'll plug the trailer back in and can test at each connection point along the way from the trailer's cable to the junction (if you have a 7-way) and then right at the lights. If the signal is coming through at the lights then we know the light assembly is the problem. If the signal isn't coming through at the lights then you have a short somewhere in the wiring and will need to trace the wiring to find it.
