Hello Jodi, thanks for reaching out. It is possible to tow a different vehicle behind your motorhome if it has already been set up for another vehicle. Some of the components such as the tow bar and safety cables can be re used. You may be able to re-use your braking system and wiring components, but this completely depends on what system you are using exactly.
The base plate cannot be re-used so you will need a new base plate for your new vehicle. The base plate and tow bar are brand specific, so make sure you check the brand of your tow bar and get a base plate to match. If you want to let me know more specifics on your tow system, such as what parts you are using, or even some part numbers or model numbers I am happy to shed more light on what can be reused and what can't.
If you want to let me know the brand of your tow bar, as well as the year, make and model of your new vehicle I am happy to recommend a base plate. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.

Hey Jodi, what did you end up finding out about reusing your tow system with the new vehicle? Your update could make it easier for others who are switching to a different towed car. Once you know which parts you can keep, I can help confirm the right base plate fit.
