Hi Richard,

There's not a torque setting for the shackle straps because they need to be able to glide back and forth so that your suspension can move to handle bumps in the road. You'll just want to have them essentially hand tight to where the shackle doesn't have any side to side play, but not too tight to where it won't move. I've attached a video below where I'll walk you through the entire suspension setup.

If they are loose then the bolt hole is likely worn and the shackle straps need to be replaced. They should've been held on with a mechanical locknut which cuts into the threads so that it won't be able to back off. too much play in the shackle straps can cause uneven tire wear but now would also be a good time to check if the axle is bent as well. If you hit a curb, overloaded the trailer, or went over too big of a pothole the axle could've been damaged causing the issue with the shackle straps and uneven tire wear. It's also important to make sure that you're inflating your tires up to their max cold psi rating.

If the shackle straps need to be replaced then you'll need to measure from center to center of the bolt holes (pictured below) to find the correct replacements.

Hey Richard, how did things go after checking the shackle straps and axle on your Mirage trailer? Were you able to get the suspension tightened up enough to stop the uneven tire wear? Your update could make it easier for others dealing with the same issue.
