Updated 02/17/2026 | Published 06/11/2024 >
Question:
I am trying to find out what the weight rating on my Dexter Axles are. I just bought a used trailer and could only find the SN D3476484. I would appreciate any help you could give me. They are torsion type axles.

Hello Gary. I contacted Dexter and had them run the serial number from your Axle. Here is all of the information they had:
# 12 Torsion Axle
7,000 lb rated
89" Hub Face Length
EZ Lube Axle
Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Hey Gary, did the info from Dexter help you confirm everything about your 7,000 lb torsion axle? Knowing how it matched up could help others trying to identify their own axle specs.
