Question:
I am not sure which actuator I have but my master cylinder is bad. The only identification I can see on it is djp. The cylinder looks like your part tk71-756-00. Can you tell me how to tell which actuator I have? It is on a 2005 stb trailer. Surge brakes, no solenoids.

Expert Reply:
The # TK71-756-00 is designed for Dexter brake actuators. The only way to identify it is with markings like the DJP you found. I searched for DJP brake cylinders and it came up as Wenzhou Dongqi Auto Parts. We do not have a replacement master cylinder designed for this. The only solution I can offer is a replacement brake actuator like the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM72VR for drum or # DM62VR for disc brakes.
