Question:
I have what I beleive is an older buttondown 6 by yakima. They are unlocked and I cant find keys. Tried using a control key after soaking cores in wd40. Control key goes all the way in but cannot get cores to remove to find key number on inside. Control key works fine on all of my other racks

Expert Reply:
Yakima produced the ButtonDown 6 from 1992 - 1999 and added SKS compatibility in 1993 so as long as you have a 1993 or later model you should be able to drill out the old lock cores and replace them with the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07202.
