Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch System For 6,000LB Trailer Which Requires Little Strength
Question:
We have a 6000# trailer with 800# tongue weight. My wife wants to be able to hook it up. Which hitch do you recommend as requiring the least strength to put together?

I recommend using the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET while towing your 6,000lb trailer with 800lbs of tongue weight. I have some tricks which will help to make this much easier for your wife to hook up and still give her a safe ride.
First you will connect to the trailer and latch the trailer coupler onto the ball. Then you will use the trailer jack to raise the trailer while it is still connected to your tow vehicle. This will actually relieve some of the weight off the back of your tow vehicle which will make lifting the bars onto the sway brackets much easier. When I have done this in the past it often doesn't even require using the Lifting Tool # EQ95-01-6050 to get the bars onto the trailer frame brackets. Then once you lower the trailer back down it will still have the required tension to keep the tow vehicle level and tracking straight with the built in sway control.
