Question:

is the break control harness for a Nissan Frontier the same for a 2023 and a 2019? We have a Pilot brake control system from our 2019 Frontier that we had the dealer plugged into our 2023 Frontier. We did not have the trailer with us when we picked up the truck and now that we have plugged the trailer into it it is not working. The dealer mechanic did not know much about Trailer break controllers so we are thinking the harness might be different between a 2019 and 2023 model.

The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3050-P used on your 2019 Nissan Frontier is the same harness needed for your 2023 Nissan Frontier. This will connect from the factory wiring to the Pilot Brake Controller # 80550. I recommend checking the connectors first to make sure none of the pins inside the connectors were bent or pushed out of the connector. Next you will want to check the fuse panel for any damaged or missing fuses for the trailer brake controller. If there is not an issue with either of these you will want to visit your dealer as there is something not connected correctly in the wiring which is either not allowing power to get to the controller or the controller is not connecting to the 7-way on you Frontier.
