Where Do 5th Wheel Rails Install in the Bed of a 2003 Ford F-250 Long Bed
Question:
What is the measurement from the rear of the bed to the rear holes on a Ford F250 with a 8foot bed? Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
On your 2003 Ford F-250, if it has a gross vehicle weight of 8,500 pounds or less then from the rear edge of the bed to the back of rear most rail it is 29-1/4 inches.
Over 8,500 pound GVW and it is 33-1/2 inches to the back of the rear rail.
Once you have the rear rail in place use the hitch to place the front rail. I have linked the instructions for the Reese universal installation kit # RP30035. I have also linked a video showing a typical installation you can use as a guide.
