In order to use the electric trailer brakes you are going to need to install a brake controller and 7-Way trailer connector on your 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan.
First, if your van does not already have a 4-Way connector you will need to install one using # 118552. If it does have a 4-Way already you do not need to install another one.
Next you will need the 4 and 7-Way Installation kit # ETBC7. This provides the 7-Way and the wiring and accessories needed to hardwire in the brake controller. I have included some links that explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
If you do not already have a brake controller I recommend the P2, # 90885. This is one of our best selling controllers because it is easy to set up, easy to use, and its reliable.
