Correct Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer For 2018 Thor Hurricane 31S
Question:
I am thinking about getting the Roadmaster Exact steering stabilizer and I noticed that there are two different part numbers that could work on my 2018 Thor Hurricane 31S, according to your website. RM42RR or RM33RR, when I read the description I believe they both go to maximum GVWR of 22,000 lbs. Though at the top description it states 22,000 lbs and 18,000 lbs respectively. Also, where can I find the torque requirements for the u-bolt nuts to install the stabilizers? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
Since your 2018 Thor Hurricane 31S has a GVWR of 18,000 lbs, the correct Exact Center is the following:
- Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer # RM33RR
While the # RM42RR technically will work due to having the same mounting brackets, the stabilizer portion is quite a bit stiffer and designed for rigs with a GVWR of at least 22,000 lbs. Then as far as the installation, the instructions are linked below.
