According to my contact at Custer Products, their Magnetic Mount Towing Lights should not be submerged.

You would be better off using a submersible or sealed lamp permanently installed on the trailer. If you would reply and give me a brief description of what you are wanting to do or provide some photos of the trailer in question, I would be happy to make some suggestions for you.
