Troubleshooting New Brake Assemblies that Do Not Seem to Work but have Voltage to the Assembly

I replace all 4 brakes on my trailer and only 2 are working. the two that are not working do have electric to the magnet. could it be bad drums. Or do I have 2 defective brakes. I took the drum off and had someone press the brake pedal and put a screw driver to the magnet and it stuck to the magnet. That is way I think it might be the drum. I have a controller that will handle 4 brakes also

It sounds like you need to do the initial brake adjustment on the new brake assemblies of your trailer.

To adjust the brake shoes, you would access the brake adjuster from the back of the assembly, and adjust it out until you can no longer turn the trailer wheels by hand. Then, back off about 10 clicks for the optimum placement. You can view a video on brake assembly installation and adjustment at the link provided.
