When it comes to locking your Reese Tri-Ball # RP47FR to your hitch I recommend The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2 inch Hitch - Flush - 2-5/8 inch Span - Stainless Steel # e98882. The lock has an overall length of 6 inches and has a pin diameter of 5/8 inches. This flush-style trailer hitch receiver lock is used in place of a standard pin and clip to prevent theft of ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory.
