Question:
Hello, I don’t have a trailer right now. I bought the pod brake controller and the wiring harness that connects to my jeep gladiator. I plugged both end in. No light on controller. Do I need a trailer hooked up to get light on the front of controller.

It is normal for the LED on the # 39523 POD brake controller not to be illuminated when a trailer isn't plugged in.
The light will be:
• GREEN when trailer is connected
• RED when brake pedal or manual is activated and trailer is connected.
• Flashing RED or OFF when trailer is not connected.
Your controller is working normally.
