While drilling is not required to install the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519336 it will require you to cut out parts of your fascia and you may need to enlarge a hole on either side frame to insert the nut strips that are used to bolt the base plate to the frame. I have linked an installation video below for an installation that we performed on a 2021 Jeep Gladiator. You can see how the installer used a set of pliers to hold the strips in place to attach the bolt through the frame.

If your Jeep has the ParkSense proximity sensors you will need to use the Roadmaster Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM47ZR to operate your lights. Otherwise the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit # BLU79FR will allow you to connect to your factory tail light wiring without having to splice into any wiring. The Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 will finish off the wiring to your towed vehicles 7-way and allow you to connect and disconnect the wiring easily.

The Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524 will provide you with the required braking system. This can be moved between vehicles if you have multiple vehicles that you tow. An included wireless controller will allow for you to check the braking status from your towed vehicle and make adjustments to the Brake Buddy while you drive.

If you do not already have a set of Tow Bars I recommend the Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511013. The non-binding bars will make it much easier to disconnect your Jeep when you get to your destination. The bars must be within 3" of level from your tow vehicle to your Jeep. For this you will need to measure the height of both points to determine if a High-Low Adapter like # RM-048-4 which is capable of a 4" rise or drop.
