Series 42 two step with cog gear LC201696 and side mounted slides to move the steps. Is there an Igml motor and controller for the above configuration?

According to Lipperts website you will want to replace your Series 42 step motor with the Replacement Motor for Kwikee 25 Series Electric RV Steps - 12V item # LC369506. You will need a IGML control box like the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps item # LC379146.
