Question:

The Saris Door County requires a 7-pin bladed connector. From what I can tell, most vehicles dont come with this. What are our options for adding it? In my case, I have a 2020 Toyota Sienna LE that did not originally come with a tow package. Do you have a harness, or is that something I should go to the dealer for? Thank you.

I can get you setup with a 7-way connector so you can use a Saris Door County Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - Electric Lift - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # SAR42RR. The nice thing about this setup is you will be ready to tow some trailers after this installation.

The first thing you need is a 4-way connector and wiring harness. I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118648. This connector plugs directly into your existing wiring, no spicing necessary. Once you have the 4-way connector, you can install the 7-way connector. My recommendation is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7. This wiring kit, once installed, will provide you with the power for the Saris Door County. You should also pick up some dielectric grease, part # 11755. Using this during the installation of your wiring harness will help eliminate rust and corrosion at your connection points.

The last item I recommend is a bracket to secure your 7-way and 4-way connectors to your hitch receiver. The No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket - Short, part # 18140, will meet that requirement.
