What cargo box will fit these racks? Will these work with trunx cargo boxes or Malone?

I have a great cargo box solution for you on your 2005 Dodge Dakota. As far as your Rhino-Rack Aero Crossbars on your # Y02-480B, Malone and Trunx cargo boxes will not work. This is because the clamps on all Malone and Trunx cargo boxes will not be able to grasp the 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" tall crossbars.

With that being said, a great alternative is the Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier Box - 8 cu Feet # TH78GC or the larger SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - 18 cu Feet # SR7018. Both of these roof boxes come with an aerodynamic design to reduce wind resistance and saving gas mileage. Also, the Thule Sidekick has a maximum weight capacity of 75 pounds, and the Vista XL has a maximum weight capacity of 100 pounds. As with all cargo carriers, I recommend confirming with your vehicle's user's manual to confirm your roof can hold that much weight.
