Question:

can i just buy the double ball for in the hitch or a triple ball unit to fit the hitch

It sounds like you are asking if you can use a ball mount with 2 or 3 balls and if this is the case, then yes you can. We have a wide variety of ball mounts that will work for you and the B&W Tow & Stow line is highly recommended. I have a 2 ball version and a 3 ball version listed below. Both of these will have the same 10,000 pound capacity as well as 5" of drop and 5-1/2" of rise. Both will also have a limited lifetime warranty and are American made.
