How Far Down From Ceiling Does MaxxAir Dome Vent Stick and Sealant for Install
Question:
Considering adding this as a ‘circulation aid’ to single MaxxFan Deluxe. * is lid transparent like MaxxFan ? * can handle to open/close be adjusted shortened, because in my application that would hang down low enough to be a constant head obstacle ? * do you have recommendation for BEST under-flange, and over-flange Sealants for constant sun exposure with Long Term durability ? Thanks

The lid of the MaxxAir Dome Vent part # MA00-3810B is not transparent. It would stick down from the ceiling it is installed on 3.08 inches when you have the vent closed and 2.14 inches when the vent is open. We can't recommend a way to shorten it's height that it would hang down.
For a sealant you'd want a non-sag type like the part # 344270341437-1 which will hold it's shape and seal well and hold up to weather.
