Question:
Can I remove my trailer tongue coupler, which is bolted on both sides with 2 bolts on each side and install the fold away coupler in its place, then add a 12 inch extension to the fold way coupler, then attach the tongue coupler to the 12 inch extension?

If you add on the 12" extension to the front of the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit # FHDPB330301 this will change your tongue weight slightly as well your maneuverability may be different as well. Otherwise there is no issue attaching the hinge in the manner you are wanting.
Be sure to get a 4-Flat Extension # HM47004 for the lighting as your current wiring will likely not be long enough to reach the connector after you extend the coupler.
