Best 5th Wheel Hitch for 2022 Chevrolet Silverado w/ 6-3/4' bed and OEM Prep Package
Question:
I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 6-3/4' bed and factory 5th wheel system in the truck bed. I am wanting to get a 5th wheel hitch but want some help deciding which one is best for me.

The 5th wheel hitch that I recommend for your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado short bed with OEM prep package is the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3775. I like this hitch because it is sourced and manufactured in the USA and has a rail-free design that allows for full access to your truck bed when the hitch is removed. It also has a built-in slider that provides the clearance required for your short-bed truck to turn safely at slow speeds.
Some other notable things about this hitch is that is has a gross towing weight of 20,000 lbs., has 1" thick dual jaws that provide 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact which provides less rattle and more security than slide-bar jaws. The hitch has a fully articulating head that eases hookup and 3 height settings to fit your application. It also has a quick and simple installation. The hitch drops into the 4 receiver pucks that are built into your factory underbed rails.
To make hooking up your 5th wheel easier I recommend the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # HM54FR. This wiring harness will allow you to move your 5th wheel wiring connection up into your truck bed to ease hook up, while maintaining use of your factory 7-way at your bumper.
