To be able to flat tow your 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the factory steel bumper you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system.

Starting with the base plate kit I recommend going with the Roadmaster Direct Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5 which is confirmed to fit your factory steel bumper. This kit has removeable arms so that when you are not flat towing they can be removed and the base plate kit will not be as noticeable.

For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow bar # RM-522. This tow bar has a 6000lb towing capacity which is perfect for a Jeep like yours, and the non-binding arms make it easy to unhook the tow bar from your vehicle even when you are parked on rough terrain.

Moving on to safety cables and tow bar wiring I recommend the RoadMaster Falcon 2 and Falcon All-Terrain Combo Towing Kit with Straight Wiring # RM-9243-1. This kit includes the needed safety cables, a 6-way connector, diodes and wiring to get installed to your tail lights, a 6-way to 7-way harness to connect your tow vehicle to your Jeep, locks to keep the tow bar secured to your vehicle, and a storage case for when the tow bar is not in use.

Most states now require flat towed vehicles to have a supplemental braking system but even if your area does not require one it is a very good idea. Without one your tow vehicle brakes have to stop the extra weight of your Jeep which just adds to more wear and tear.

I recommend going with the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to it being easy to install, and since it gets completely removed when you are done flat towing it can be used in multiple vehicles so this one system still be all you need even if you change tow vehicles. To power this system you will need to add the 12v outlet kit # RM-9332.
